posted 01/09/2012 Registration is now open for the Dunkirk Warriors Girls Lacrosse Program.
Lacrosse is one of the fastest growing sports in the country. The Dunkirk Warriors Girls Lacrosse program is dedicated to teaching the game of lacrosse to girls from kindergarten through eighth grade and promoting teamwork and sportsmanship to all involved. We promise that you will have lots of fun while also learning the techniques and strategies that make lacrosse such an exhilarating sport!
For the 2012 season, we anticipate much growth in the program and will make all attempts to accommodate everyone. However, we cannot guarantee a roster spot for every player as we need to keep team sizes at manageable levels to ensure equal playing time. Therefore, please do not wait until the last minute to register your daughter as she may be placed on a wait list. For those girls registered, we will be offering several “indoor” sessions to get the sticks in the hands of the girls.
All Dunkirk Warriors Lacrosse programs are open to players of any skill level, including beginners.
REGISTRATION TAKES PLACE FROM NOW THROUGH FEBRUARY 25, 2012. (Late fee assessed if you register after February 10th)

2012 Boys and Girls Lacrosse
Registration for Dunkirk Warriors Lacrosse is now open for both our boys and girls lacrosse programs at www.DWlacrosse.com. Participation in all of pre-season lacrosse activities is free to registered players. Equipment is required.
Cannons Select: We are working with the Cannons Select program to minimize conflicts for those Warriors who are also Cannons. We are aware of the scheduling problems from last spring, and we have been taking steps to minimize, if not eliminate, conflicts.
Lax Swap Meet – Next Saturday, December 17, 10:30 am to 12:30 pm @ Olympia Sports
Weather permitting, we will have a Lax Swap Meet next Saturday, December 17, 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. It will be held in front of the new Olympia Sports (next to Heavenly Chicken and Ribs in Dunkirk). If you have extra equipment, here is a good way for you to make a few dollars while at the same time helping a player get equipment at an affordable price.
We provide the tables and buyers, but you need to be there to sell your items. Judging from last year, a lot of equipment was sold in a short period of time.
Want to donate your equipment? If you want to donate your equipment to the club, email me and I will sell it at the swap meet with all proceeds going to the club (with a donation receipt if requested).
Winter Indoor Clinic:
Sundays, Jan. 22 through February 12, at Windy Hill Elementary School. We are in the process of setting times for individual age groups, but all will be between 3 pm and 6:30 pm.
Scooper Indoor Clinic:
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5 to 6 pm, starting Feb. 16th, Mount Harmony Elementary School. This program serves as a pre-season introduction to lacrosse for all players at the scoopers level and new players at the clinic level.
Evaluations
We are planning on having evaluations for Clinic, Pee Wee, Midget and junior players on February 19th and February 26th. Times are TBD.
