Applications for Senior Coaches are due now...Only applications hand-submitted or post-marked by May 3, 2010 will be considered.  No exceptions.

Applications for Junior coaches are being accepted at this time.  Deadline for Junior coaches to be decided.


Registration
 for the 2010 Season will begin in May.  Walk up registrations will be held at Dunkirk Park from 10:00am to 1:00pm on May 15th, June 12th, July 10th, and July 24th(also equipment handout).   You can register online or in person, registration forms can be downloaded here.

*Denotes Play Backer – A maximum of five (5) players per team will be allowed to weigh up to 15 lbs over the maximum weight limit (Pee Wee Division 10 lbs.).  Playbackers are restricted to offensive and defensive line play only.

Playbackers in the 90lb and up weight classes may only have three (3) play backers. These players are also restricted to the offensive and defensive line.
 ** UNLIMITED DIVISION – Maximum age is 14 as of 08-01-2010. League is set-up for 6th, 7th and 8th graders.  NO WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS.

Practice Times: Will be posted under the Practice Info Tab closer to the season start.  Practices can be up to 4 times a week until school starts.  Once school starts they will be up to 3 times a week.  Practices normally start at the beginning of  August, check the site.

-Flag, Pee Wee, 70lb and 120lb will report to Mt. Harmony Elementary School.
-80lb, 90lb, and 100lb will report to Dunkirk Baptist Church
-Unlimited will report to Northern High School

Game Schedules typically do not come out until late August. Once they are in our hands they will be posted.

Equipment Needed:

Tackle Football Players will be required to provide: Practice Pants, Practice Jersey, Cleats, Game Jersey, and Athletic Cup. The Warriors will provide Game Pants (never to worn to practice), Shoulder Pads, Mouth Piece, Helmet Chin Strap, and 7 Piece Pant pad set (Knee, Thigh, Hip and Tail).

Flag Players shall provide: Athletic Cup and cleats. The Warriors will provide Jersey and Game Pants (Never to be worn to practice).

 


Equipment Hand-Out will be on Saturday, July 24th from 10 - 1pm at Dunkirk Park. 

Additional Equipment Hand-Out Dates: 

Equipment will be handed out Saturday, TBD from 10am to 11am,  Wednesday, TBD  and Wednesday, TBD from  8pm-9pm.  You will need to go to the equipment shed. The shed location is behind the Raymond-Wood  Funeral Home in Dunkirk, approx. 200 yards south of the entrance to Dunkirk Park. You must bring a printed receipt of registration confirmation with you.
 

Coaches must be present at the time any of their players are picking up equipment once practices are started.

 2010 WEIGH-IN'S :  Date to be decided.

 No Football Uniforms – SHORTS, T-SHIRT, SOCKS OR SANDALS!

Players may only weigh-in three times until the mid point of the season. 

Please Note:  If you miss the First Weigh In, you must contact the CCPR Sports office to make an appointment. Hours 8:30-4:30 pm.


First Weigh-In:  Roster and ID Cards are required to be weighed

ROSTERS MUST BE SUPPLIED AT THE TIME OF WEIGH-IN.

Players must weigh-in as a team.  Peewee through Unlimited.  Late arrivals must wait until all divisions have finished!

Players not listed on original roster must have a completed Add/Drop Slip and ID Card.

FOOTBALL Coaching Certification: 

All Coaches are required by Calvert County Parks and Recreation to be certified. Each Dunkirk Warriors Coach will need to be certified in order to Coach in the Calvert County Youth Football League. Please visit www.nays.org.
